MEET NOIR TRIBE

Noir Tribe is a New York storytelling studio that creates visual content for the fashion industries, with a special interest in sustainable and transparent brands, founded by Amber Moelter and Luis Barreto Carrillo. Their work has been featured on Vogue Italia, Vogue México, ELLE México, NYLON Español, Harper’s Bazaar Bulgaria, Harper’s Bazaar Brasil, and Glamour. Clients include The Museum at FIT, The Women’s March on Washington, Alon Livne, Queen of the Night, Ricardo Seco, Saunder, and Polite. Awards include Best Documentary for Peyote Dreams at the International Fashion Film Awards and Miami Fashion Film Festival. See additional festivals, nominations, and awards below.

Their fashion documentary ETHETICS (ethics+aesthetics) premiered at the BAFTA-Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival and premiered online at Vogue Italia. It won Best Styling at Mexico Fashion Film Festival and Best Cinematography at Mercedes-Benz Bokeh South Africa Fashion Film Festival, where it was also nominated for Best Fashion and Best Documentary. It is an official selection at the selective New York Fashion Film Festival, Fashion Film Festival Milan, Copenhagen Fashion Film Festival, Canada International Fashion Film Festival, and Berlin Fashion Film Festival, where it was shortlisted for Best US/Canada film. ETHETICS in an ethical fashion film series in partnership with the ITC’s Ethical Fashion Initiative – a flagship program of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.

Most recently they produced Dressed For Protest: The Women’s March and Beyond, a short documentary in association with The Women’s March on Washington – NYC Chapter and Glamour Magazine. It will premiere at Fashion Film Festival Milan. Amber & Luis live in Beacon, NY with their rescue mutt Lula and two scaredy cats, Mister and Little.
